After 2 days in transit, we knew it would take a lot to make us feel this was worth it. The Te Tiare
did just that. The only way to get there was by boat. To be greeted with fresh fruit drinks, flower leis, and soon after, the sight of the bungalows over water set the mood. We loved it . |

Our bungalow faced west. It was perfect for sleeping late and cuddling on the porch while watching
spectacular sunsets. Of course, the first day we awoke early to watch the sunrise from our porch... |

When you've got a huge over water bungalow all to yourself, a thatched porch that gives you a choice of sun or
shade all day long, and a small private ramp with shower into to warm blue ocean, it's hard to find a reason to go on excursions. We didn't find any. |

Our lack of excursions had nothing to do with a lack of excursions available. Special thanks and
kudos to the activities director at the Te Tiare, a delightful woman named Vaea. The Day family has joined her fan club. Spend a week with her and you will too. |

Polynesian sunsets are truly beautiful. Here, they provide a nice backdrop to our bungalow. And you
can't bet the view from your sitting room. |

Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end. The boat ride away from Te Tiare was taken on a
drizzly morning. Had we known what was awaiting us in Bora Bora, we would have begged to stay! |
